Mastering Art of Window Climbing

Since a time she was little, Shiva doesn't seem to be not very graceful in her movements. She slips, she falls, she always some how manages to trip over her own legs (and she has 4!)...

Yuriy says that it is probably because she is pretty long, so sometimes she is like a furry centipede one side legs of which don't always coordinate right with legs on another side. Mostly when she is in on a hunt to catch a toy.

But then this clumsy fur ball does something like this:

It remains unknown what motivated her to go on that window climbing adventure. Knowing her skills of gracefulness I was afraid that it may end up badly, but it didn't. And now we have this funny photo and a video somewhere on a phone to go along with it.

To Be a Cat

With all things going on in the world, the only thing I want to do is to step back and focus on simple things...

When Coons Were Little

I was looking through cats photos today (yea, I do that from time to time, when feeling upset or tired or in need of some piece and serenity). And every time I look at their baby kitten shots, I can't believe how small they were then we brought them home comparing to how big they are now.

We only have handful of kitten baby pictures, but every time I look at them, I smile. Maybe you will too...

Stalone Looks Outside

It appears that Stalone likes to watch what is going out outside. Lots of cats do, right? Well, he likes to do it from the window in our master bedroom. The one we sleep in.

When he first discovered that bedroom has windows, he developed a routine when he would come in middle of his daytime (between 4am and 5am our time), and scream for blinds to be pulled up in case they are all the way down.

Can't say I was pretty happy about this, but hey, what wouldn't you do to make your cat happy, right?.. Even if that exposes you sleeping on the bed to whole neighborhood up until you wake up in the morning and pull the blinds back down.

Apparently 3 weeks of my vacation was enough to change the situation. Yuriy doesn't sleep light, screaming doesn't work on him, so Stalone had to find a work around.
