Stalone in Big Cat Bed

Finally Stalone found himself a cat bed of a size appropriate for maine coon male cat: the rattan chair. He looks like a bird in a nest in it, doesn't he?

It seems pretty comfortable:

And I don't think he changed a bit still the same kitten, look for yourself here his is about 2 months old:

Flying Shiva

Shiva knows how to fly... Unfortunately, it is pretty hard to see because she is also fast. Fortunately mankind invented slo-mo cameras so I can overcome this hurdle.

Stalone likes his treats, he can do things to get them, including impersonating a rabbit by standing straight.

The paw movement is involuntary but I would say it is adorable :)

However Shiva doesn't seem too impressed by it...

It looks like I got enough motivation to play with my new iPone 5 (which apparently makes pretty decent quality video) and iMovie (which, as I discovered, is pretty easy to use).

Stalone and a Small Box

The same as many other fellow cats, Stalone has a love for boxes and paper bags. Big ones, small ones - does not matter.

I had runny nose for last two weeks, so I had a lot of use for a Puffs tissues (they work as a charm by the way!). And couple of nights in a row, I have a honor of removing the puffs-tissue-box-crown from Stalone's head...

Unfortunately, being half asleep in the middle of the night I didn't manage to make any videos of these events. But I made my best to catch up in a daytime. There is a proof:

Winter is Coming...

Last week we got a bit of snow in the morning, first time this year... It was pretty quiet morning: nobody was jumping on me, jumping over me or jumping from me, which seems to be a usual routine on an average morning at 5am. I almost overslept.

As I discovered later, the reason for all of that appeared to be the snow, or rather snow watching session. Both cats occupied a window spot and were hunting snowflakes, watching snowflakes or just looking outside with their round eyes. Fascinated.

Later that day, after I came home from freezing office (climate control in the office has most unexpected settings ever - it is cold in the winter and hot in summer, almost like there is no climate control whatsoever...), I decided that Stalone needs some "cozy" in his life and covered him with a blanket. One would say he kinda liked it, wouldn't you?

How to Celebrate Your B-day, If You Are a Maine Coon

Coon are 7-mice old today. And they celebrated this important milestone of their life by reaching the unreachable, terra incognita of the house - kitchen counter.

Yesterday Shiva got to try some chicken juices mixed with butter and dill from dish, where Chicken Kiev were cooking before, on top of the oven (not that we let her, but she forgot to ask the permission)... Good that oven was turned off and managed to cool down till bearable temperatures before that happened. Shiva was very proud of her accomplishment and couldn't stop licking her lips for hours...

Today Yuriy woke up to disposable coffee cups on the kitchen floor and his sandwich, prepared by me before I left, disassembled (but not eaten) and evenly distributed all over the kitchen counter by the party yet remaining unknown. But I am pretty sure that fluffy tail and pointy ears with tips at the end are among other special marks to be accounted for, the investigation is ongoing...

The whole encounter left me with just one question: what these cheese and ham are made of these days, if even playful kittens didn't express a wish to eat them?..
